Heritage of our village
As our motto suggests, we are 'Proud of our Past - Confident of our Future '. Dromiskin has a rich and varied heritage that is demonstrated in the Heritage Park in the centre of the village. Let us take you on a journey of discovery from the early medieval period up to the present day.

Heritage Park
Work began on the Heritage Park in 2017 and over the years it has been updated with several installations. Along with Ginnety's Pond Nature Park, it is the proud recipient of several Community Green Flag awards. The park highlights the rich religious, agricultural, sporting, railways and natural heritage of Dromiskin. Recent additions were made in 2023, which include an ogham stone, an audio unit and information boards relating to the famous daughters of Dromiskin and our traveller heritage. Finally, there is a nod to Father Nicholas Callan, born in this parish, and who invented the induction coil, which was one of the most important inventions of the Industrial Age.
