On behalf of Dromiskin Tidy Towns, we would like to welcome you to our website!

The picturesque village of Dromiskin is situated in Mid Louth bordered by the Irish Sea to the east, River Fane to the North and its neighbouring parishes of Kilsaran, Louth, Knockbridge and Haggardstown/Blackrock. It lies 8 ½ Km from nearest town Dundalk.

Dromiskin Tidy Towns participates annually in the National Tidy Towns Competition. We have maintained steady improvement over the years culminating in receiving our first bronze medal in 2021 which we retained in 2022. In 2023, we were delighted to receive a silver medal. We also participate in the Louth Looking Good Awards and have been runner-up in the county to award winning Blackrock for a number of years. However, we were thrilled to be declared overall winners of the competition for the first time at the awards ceremony in 2023. Dromiskin are proud members of the Louth Tidy Towns Together organisation.

WHAT WE DO
Our local Tidy Towns group was founded in 1991 and for over thirty years has worked tirelessly to bring about improvements to the village through various initiatives. These include litter management, landscaping and biodiversity projects, heritage awareness and promoting sustainability through recycling and energy conservation.
